Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are used to measure how the site is used or to follow up on a request. This page explains which ones we use, why, for how long, and how to change your choices.
In short
- Before you make a choice, only the cookies the site needs to work are used.
- You have two separate choices: Site measurement (Google Analytics) and Request follow-up (HubSpot). You can accept both, one, or neither.
- Refusing does not change your access to the site or to our forms.
- You can change your mind at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.
1. Strictly necessary cookies (always on)
These cookies make the site work, remember your language and your choices, and protect the site and our forms against bots. They are not used to track you and cannot be turned off in our banner.
| Name | Provider | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cj_consent (local storage) | Chef Jasper | Remembers your cookie choices | 180 days |
| cj_lang_seen (session storage) | Chef Jasper | Remembers the language already shown during your visit | End of visit |
| _icl_visitor_lang_js | WPML (site language) | Remembers your preferred language (French or English) | 1 year |
| wp-wpml_current_language | WPML | Keeps the language during the visit | End of visit |
| wpml_browser_redirect_test | WPML | Checks that your browser accepts cookies | End of visit |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Confirms your browser passed the automatic security check | Up to 1 year |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare (for our host and for HubSpot) | Tells real visitors from bots to protect the site and the forms | 30 minutes |
2. Site measurement: Google Analytics (with your consent)
If you accept this choice, Google Analytics tells us which pages are visited and how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it. We do not use this data for advertising.
| Name | Provider | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes visitors to count visits | Up to 2 years | |
| _ga_13WCP1YSJD | Keeps the state of the current visit | Up to 2 years |

3. Request follow-up: HubSpot (with your consent)
If you accept this choice, HubSpot records the pages you visit. If you later send us a request through a form, those visits are linked to your request so we can answer it better.
| Name | Provider | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| hubspotutk | HubSpot | Recognizes your browser to link your visits to a request | 6 months |
| __hstc | HubSpot | Remembers your first visit, last visit and number of visits | 6 months |
| __hssc | HubSpot | Counts pages viewed during the visit | 30 minutes |
| __hssrc | HubSpot | Detects a browser restart to count a new visit | End of visit |

Tools that do not set cookies
- Google Tag Manager loads on every page. It turns Google Analytics and HubSpot on only according to your choices. It sets no cookie, but Google receives technical information (IP address, browser type, page visited).
- HubSpot forms: on pages with a form, the form is displayed by HubSpot. Before you consent, only the __cf_bm security cookie is set. What you type in a form is sent to HubSpot when you submit it.
- Google reCAPTCHA may be used by our forms to block bots.
- Video: our video is hosted on our own site. It sets no cookie.
Where the data goes
Google and HubSpot are United States companies. Information collected by their cookies may be processed there and be subject to the laws of that country. Cloudflare runs a global network; most visitors in Québec go through its Montréal data centre. Our site is hosted by WP Engine.
Changing your choices or withdrawing consent
- Click “Manage cookies” at the bottom of any page, then choose Refuse all, Accept all or Choose.
- If you withdraw your consent, the Google Analytics and HubSpot cookies are deleted from your browser and those tools stop running.
- After 180 days, we ask for your choice again.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary cookies, some features, such as the language choice, may not work.
